Reading on "Congestion Avoidance and Control"

The authors added lots of features to the 4.3BSD TCP and improved the ability of congestion avoidance. one of the features is slow_start. although the authors are not the first one to have this idea, they did more work on it including developing another calculating way of round-trip timing.
This is a very good paper.

The key idea is the concept of packet conservation, plus its implementation through the mechanism of the CNWD.
